Shown below are some we offer.
Graduates of this four week training program will have the knowledge and skills to become Class “A” CDL licensed drivers qualified to drive long distances, regionally or locally. Requires DMV Learners Permit Test, State Road Test, and DOT physical.
MECC offers the American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid certification course, covering the basic principles of first aid, care and treatment of medical emergencies, care and treatment of injuries, and care and treatment of environmental emergencies. This course is certified by the American Heart Association.
Prepares students with the basic skills necessary to enter the electrical field as a Lineman. These skills include: overall safety considerations, power pole climbing skills, knowledge of the basic tools and materials involved with electrical crafts, general construction standards, basic rigging principles, and basic electrical theory that is specific to this trade. Classes introduce students to job related information and hands-on training. A component of the course includes preparation for the Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) exam.

Mountain Empire has a various selection of facilities
MECC's library has a wide selection of any catogory of reading. Mountain Empire's Library has an impressive amount of phyiscal and digital readings for anyone to MECC. The Library is located in the Rob Hall Building on the second floor.
All clubs are open to any current MECC student. Most organizations have membership qualifications; see below for more information. The Student Services office, located in Holton Hall, is responsible for coordinating and implementing the policies and procedures pertaining to the operation of campus organizations and activities.
MECC has it's own cafe! The Red Fox Grill's mission is to provide food services for students, faculty, and staff in a clean, sanitary, and orderly manner at affordable prices through exceptional customer service.

I have spent 3 years at MECC and currently working on my 4th and final year. I'm studing at Mountain Empire for a degree in Psychology, and General studies. This year has been challenging working online, but I will say the MECC staff and teachers have helped me tremindously through this process.
This year will be my 2nd and final year at Mountain Empire. I've been blessed to have such great teachers! At MECC they've made it a point they want to make learning a fun thing again. Working with computers my whole life has made studing online this year so much easier. I'm currently studing for a degree as a Computer Software Specialtist, and boy oh boy did I make the right decision.
