Volunteers

The center is only able to provide coverage of our service hours through our volunteer program. We are in need of additional staff who will enable us to expand our hours of operation during the week to Monday - Wednesday. Training is provided and volunteers in training may work with more experienced staff. We welcome residents of Wise County and surrounding communities who have an interest in local history and the communities. We welcome community service volunteers from local schools. Retirees who are looking for volunteer activities are particularly welcome. Some of our volunteers come to us from nearby Kingsport as all interested persons are welcome.
